Love browsing around there. Such a great cause with so many amazing unselfish, friendly people that give up their time to work there. They are so appreciative of everything that you drop off.

There used to be some wonderful people working at the New Lynn Hospice, there are still, however on visiting the store last Tuesday I witnessed a staff member speaking horribly to customers as they were trying to enter the store. I was walking past the entrance towards the back area as I was dropping off donations. This women is certainly has no customer service skills whatsoever she is rude and is clearly not a people person nor is she approachable. She made sure to tell these people she was the manager.
Wow! Best charity shop I’ve ever shopped in! Big, tidy, well laid out & lively, plus great quality & prices! The staff were lovely & the whole experience was very satisfying! Gained another regular ☺

I have been going to New Lynn Hospice shop for years and love it – however, in the last couple of years I do not enjoy going in there when a specific manager is on duty. I actually feel anxious when I see her. I have found her to be, at times, abrupt – not only to me but to other people too. When I go there I like to be in my own world, feeling peaceful and calm while looking through things to buy; I don’t want to hear the manager singing fairly loudly to the song that happens to be on the radio at that time! Apart from that – still love shopping at Hospice New Lynn shop xoxo
Horrible experience. Again!!! Witnessed the manager asking a gentleman to leave, he was calm and was asking for the manger. She said she was she manager, all this time she was yelling at him to leave. Not once did he raise his voice. Most unprofessional manager I have met. Makes you so uncomfortable as it feels like shes going to pounce on you next.
