This used to be a great place to get bargains but has changed a lot and prices have risen, I have purchased items from there to find holes in the garment when I got home and is a long process to get a refund as it has to go through the boss who is located elsewhere. Also the trolleys have been taken away so makes it hard if you have a few items in your hands. It’s not a nice place to shop in the summer as the building is very hot and it’s shocking not having a toilet available especially for the elderly if they need one in a hurry. Very average.
I have just been back to the Levin save mart , am not amused with the ridiculous high prices of second hand clothing, I feel more goods would be sold and turnover be faster hence more profit if the prices were reduced by at least $8. And in some cases by $10 or $12 dollars. After all these are second hand donated items, there should also be some incentive. Ie. discount for gold card holders or half price today on blue ticket items , trying to make contact with a manager is near impossible, I’m sorry to say I won’t be returning until I hear if advertising that things are changing. There are plenty of other cheaper second clothing places I can go. ( such a shame for savemart , word of mouth is the best advertising for your business)
I agree with the above two comments. There is a large range of clothing but it is priced very high, no bargains. Also no trolleys which is just annoying!!
Very expensive second hand shop. It’s a cold building in winter and a furnace in summer. No wonder the staff aren’t friendly. It’s a horrible place to shop and I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone.
A business, not an op shop.
Expensive, and I often find damaged goods on the shelf. Why are the staff so unhappy?!
I agree with all above comments, I have brought many baby items in preparation for my sons arrival only to get home and find most were damaged. Half the baby items displayed were also more expensive than the store they came from! No trolleys makes shopping extremely difficult and no doubt costs the shop money in missed sales just because you don’t have enough room to carry everything. Most of the staff except one lady are horribly rude. I was Judged for being pregnant then judged when I brought my son in to shop as according to the staff member even tho he was completely covered I should of stayed home as babies shouldn’t be out and about… used to be an awesome place to shop now it’s overpriced and hostile.
Grossly overpriced for second hand clothing! Stopped going there because of that. I can get brand new clothes out of China for the same price,
Extremely expensive for 2nd hand clothes that are often very old & damaged. The Most Expensive 2nd hand shop I have ever been in. Really a rip-off for donated goods. I have even stopped putting my 2nd hand clothes in their bins for Child cancer (who only receive a token amount from this business). The clothes bins are a con.
