They hike up the price on everything to market to trendy student-age “thrifters”… pretty antithetical to the idea of an op shop if you ask me.
This is a great place to shop, no doubt–they have great stock and you can spend an hour here easily. But be aware that even though their sign says “Op Shop,” this is not a true opportunity shop–meaning, that it supports a charity. This is NOT a charity shop, so if you donate clothing you are just giving the owners free stock. You can, however, get shop credit for donations–something I didn’t learn until after I had dropped off a bunch of clothes, thinking I was donating to a charity.
