Could hear the ladies working out who would get what – to sell personally online before I had even left the store.
These were good quality children’s items intended for young families.
Concerning 5 April review by Jane.
Jumble Around does sell a few quality items on Trade me, to ensure we get the best value
for goods donated. Then we can give more at EOY to local non-profit clubs, organisations and Schools around the Cambridge district. A majority of our Volunteers do not even have computers.
I have shopped at jumble around for many years and also work there.I work there because noone is paid in any form . The goods many are recycled by helpful members eg cotton rags and buttons,. wool. we get many really lovely comments by the public for how greatful they are for the money we raise yr after yr up to $100,000 a yr.The many recipient organisations of this money could not run as they do without it. Unlike many other shops we are non politcally or church linked we are independant and vote a committee to run the store. The public on many an occasion have commented how happy they are we are there in their community and thank us for all the hard work we do.
caring and careful group of angels support the forgotten
Extremely rude. The staff seam to think it’s ok to say rude comments to customers as they leave the shop. I come to support the charity shop but I dont like being embarrassed by a shop full of people. I am respectful to elderly people, but I dont feel like this gives the elderly staff reason to be disrespectful to me.
These women helped me get ready for my engagement and let me walk around all day trying on shoes jewelry and clothes and made it a special occasion. I am a large women with large feet so it was greatly appreciated making me feel special.
Love the shop, the wonderful volunteers who work there and how the funds are put straight back into the community.
Great op shop very clean and well presented. I often find 1 or 2 things I like
Wonderful range, and great prices.
Prices are still relevant in this community stalwart for shoppers, but this is currently run by a group of older ladies who are quite rude to customers and especially donors, for no good reason. Donations are only accepted based on their discrimination, but not until you have taken the effort to bring stuff right in. At this point their message is confusing – yes they are taking donations, but not yours, they don’t have room for any donations but don’t tell anyone that’s the case because they ARE taking donations. Then “we only take items of very, VERY good quality”. Donate your stuff here only if you have a thick skin. Agree with Karina who commented 5 years ago, I left in tears.
